Ingredients:-

  • Sweet potatoes, of similar size
  • Olive oil or avocado oil
  • Sea salt
  • Optional toppings: Butter, sour cream, black beans, cheese, bacon, or green onions

Method:-

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Wash and scrub the sweet potatoes thoroughly, then pat them dry.
  • Prick each potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape and prevent bursting.
  • Rub each potato with a little oil and sprinkle with salt.
  • Bake for 40 to 90 minutes, depending on the potato's size. Flip them halfway through baking for even cooking.
  • Check for doneness by piercing the thickest part with a knife or fork; it should go through with no resistance. The skin should be crisp and the inside soft.
  • Serve immediately, sliced open and topped as desired.
